On Tuesday, August 4, in what appears to have been a tragic accident, a massive explosion occurred in Beirut, Lebanon. Hundreds were killed in the blast, and thousands more were wounded.
City Bible Church (CBC) is an Acts 29 member church planted in Beirut in 2018 and ministering amid this immense pain. The blast destroyed their church facility, but their conviction to be a shining light for Jesus Christ in the darkness and destruction remains.
Will you partner with CBC in these gospel efforts?
First, pray for Beirut and for Lebanon. Pray for an end to trials experienced, and for the gospel to move forward in power. Pray for the Holy Spirit to restore and sustain Christian brothers and sisters in Lebanon. Pray for CBC as they mobilize care, act with compassion, and proclaim Christ with boldness.
You can also partner with City Bible Church by giving to the Beirut Relief Fund. This fund is being established and overseen by the Acts 29 Emerging Regions Network to help CBC assist with essential food, shelter, and medical needs amongst their members and neighbors and to re-build a church facility from which to minister to their body, neighborhood, and the city around them.
