Christ in Evangelism Col. 4:2-6

By Jonathan Dodson

CALL TO WORSHIP
I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Boast in Christ; in his life and in his death
in his victory, over sin and over evil.

Let the humble rejoice and be glad.
He answers those who seek him
and delivers us from our fears.

Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
For You are making all things new,
even me brand new.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
All:
Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against You
in thought, word, and deed,
we have sought lesser glories
and been dulled by the darkness.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
Because of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us, and forgive us, O Lord;
that we may hope in your Son, and walk in your ways,
that your kingdom come, and your will be done,
in Austin as it is in heaven,
through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Reader:
While it is true that we have sinned,
it is a greater truth that we are forgiven
through God’s mighty grace in Christ Jesus.
To all who humbly seek the mercy of God I say,
in Jesus Christ your sin is forgiven!

All:
Thanks be to God!
